8 steps to becoming an Entrecard powerhouse

So after doing entrecard for two more weeks, I’ve realized the 8 steps to becoming an Entrecard powerhouse.

  1. Advertise on as many of the cheap sites as you can. Forget the advertising on the huge sites, until you have lots of credits. The key to gaining traffic from it, is by having a large cost to advertise on your site. And the way you do that is advertising on lots of sites. So check the "most recent" tab as many times a day as you can. And every time there's a new site that just joined. Advertise on it, this will help the cost of your site grow dramatically. And keep this up.
  2. Most bloggers have several sites. Put entrecard on all these different sites using different email addresses. Then if you have three blogs, then you'll have three sites generating credits, then you can just send them all to the site that you want to profit the most, or split them up how you choose.
  3. If you don't fit in the above category with having several sites. Go to blogspot and sign in with your google account (if you going to succeed as a blogger you need one btw) and create another blog. They only take a minute. Then copy an article from ezinearticle, or goarticles. And post them on the site. It's not illegal as long as you give the person credit, just leave a link to the writer's site. And then post up the entrecard widget and you can generate more credits that way.
  4. Every day or couple days go to the top five sites in your respective category on entrecard, and drop your card on their blog. And go in a new window to the site that is advertising on that site. Keep going till you end up on a site you've already been on. Usually it only takes about 20-30 sites before you end up having done a circle. And that's enough to keep the cost of your site from dropping, and as long as you keep advertising on the most recent sites then enough to keep it moving up.
  5. Don't stop! You have to keep doing this for up to two weeks. If you stop for even a day you will see your site suffer. It doesn't take very long, but you need to spend the five minutes every day otherwise your site will drop very quickly. After those couple weeks it should be powerful enough to stay afloat by itself.
  6. When you create an account don't accept all the blogs right away. Accept a few then wait for the cost of your site to move up, then accept them. That way it'll earn you more credits.
  7. Don't hide your entrecard ad way at the bottom of your website. People will go to your site to drop the card on your widget, and nothing is more annoying then having to search through a ton of clustered ads to find the entrecard one. Make sure that people can find it.
  8. When you have extra credits after advertising on the most recent sites, advertise the rest on the most recommend or lowest wait. Personally I do lowest wait, because that way my ad will be up on their site sooner and they usually cost less. But it won't generate as much traffic.

So there it is, follow these 8 steps and you'll be on your way to becoming an entrecard powerhouse.

Top 6 Sites To Help Your Blog

This is going to be a growing list of sites to help your blog. It will grow as we test and experiance then we'll let you know about them. Sites that gain you traffic, and the key word is Free Traffic. And when you have lots of free traffic, you can make money online. Lots of traffic is the key to making money with your blog, because once it's popular everybody will be at your knee begging for link exchanges and such. So here's number one.

Stumbleupon.

This is a site that as the ability to generate tons of traffic if used correctly. You only need a couple of stumbles for your site to generate 100's of visitors. It's also despite many people's opinions, it's relatively consistent. If you have many articles stumbled then if one person stumbles it again even months later you'll get tons of traffic again.

Digg

Digg is one of the best traffic sources on the internet. Although this one is very hard to get traffic from. If you submit an article, you usually get a couple visits. But the real traffic is reaching the first page. Which can take anything from 50-300 diggs, which for the average or new blogger is very difficult. However it can be done, and because the reward is so great, tens of thousands of visitors in a few days it's worth a shot.

Entrecard

Probably my favorite site on the web right now. It generates the most of traffic for the amount of effort needed to use it. I wrote an article about the 8 steps to becoming an entrecard powerhouse. Which is the way if you want to maximize the site for traffic. But if you just want a few hundred visits for no effort. Then you merely need to make the account post the script and leave it. You'll get constant visitors, and the average stay time is a minute and a half for me so they stay to.

Blog Catalog

Because it gives answers to your questions, it gives traffic, and you can find people with similar interests to help you and learn from. It has popular bloggers such as johncow, blogengage, and problogger. The discussion are insightful and provide valuable information. And the people are kind and helping. This site is a must have.

Squidoo

This is a site where you can make pages called lens. These lens are essentially blogs that are only one post, and you own them. You can stumble and digg that post and get it ranked. Squidoo is great because after you make the lens you post a link to your site in the lens. Not only is it a one way link, but it generates traffic, and if you get it to rank high then you can have a burst of traffic similar to the digg effect, a term I call the squidoo effect.

Technorati

This is a very fast growing site that is one of the most popular blog search engines on the web. If you can rank in your category then you'll get a lot of traffic that way. It is very popular but it is not at the point yet where you don't have a chance of becoming a force on the site. You can still fight your way to the top or at least into the top 100. People can fan your site which moves it up, and it keeps track of links and that moves up your authority to. It's also a good way to keep track of the links to your site.
